The Wolfman Duathlon is an off road sprint duathlon that is in its 20th consecutive year that takes place in Shelby Farms. This longevity makes the Wolfman Duathlon unique for a sprint distance race in the Mid-South Region and it has become the spring "right of passage" designating the opening of the multisport season each year in Memphis.

The race has always been Shelby Farms and originally took place on the blue and yellow trails along the Wolf River. It eventually had to be moved up to the present location on the Tour De Wolf Mountain Bike Trail due to the designation of a section of the Yellow and Blue trails as The Louis Burch Natural Area.

As usual the race starts with a 3 Mile Trail Run, then a 6.5 Mile Mountain Bike Ride (on the whole Tour De Wolf Mountain Bike Trail including the technical loop at the East end of the park) and then a 1 Mile Trail Run to the finish. With the short distances it makes a great race for beginners and well as a test for the seasoned veteran

Every year there are really great Wolfman t-shirts, door prizes, trophies and best of all a great post race party with music and freshly grilled hamburgers.
